ICE

Annual trip to the Gaylord. We did the Ice exhibit. The theme was Santa Claus is Coming to Town. It was a good one. Then we walked around the atrium & took pictures as always.

Date Night

It's been a long time since Lane & I had an overnight date. The time away was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. It helped that we got a full night of uninterrupted sleep! We went to the Galleria with plans of ice skating. However, we changed our minds when we saw how long the line was. Instead we just meandered around taking in the Christmas decorations. We had dinner at this fantastic restaurant, Ida Claire. It served upscale southern food and boy was it good! My favorite were the fried green tomatoes. Lane got the shrimp and grits and I had the chicken in a biscuit. With a side of pimento mac & cheese. We stayed at Le Meridian in Dallas. We've been there before, but it's one of my favorites.

Magnolia Market

Had a little impromptu road trip to Waco to visit the Silos. I was there 2 months ago, but was itching to go back. We had so much fun. Everything looked so pretty and I came out with some great loot for the house!

Davis' Preschool Program

Davis had his Christmas program tonight. He did so well! He stood very still the entire time & took his part as the cow sock puppet very seriously. It was pretty funny. All the kids pretty much yelled the songs. Below you see Davis & his best bud Van.

Christmas Time

Christmas showed up at our house! And so did our 2nd annual family Christmas Pjs. Once again, the kids loved them and want to wear them every night.

Bennett at 7 months

Big boy is doing great. He's now eating baby food and loves it. He's practicing his sitting up skills right now. And his 2 bottom teeth just broke through his gums! Now if only he'd do me a favor and stop waking up in the middle of the night! I'm going up to his room to put in his yum yum about 3 times a night and it's taking a toll on me!

Halloween

Halloween was a success this year. We had a scary witch, a nice witch, Mario and a skeleton. We attended our ward's Trunk or Treat. The kids had a blast. We brought some friends from Davis' t-ball team. And we saw that our neighbor, Finn, was also Mario. Davis kept saying, "look mom, it's double Mario!" The kids had fun playing some games. But I think they had more fun passing out candy. All 3 of them gave candy to each trick or treater. This was the first year we trick or treated in our own neighborhood. I really enjoyed it. We have such a small neighborhood that it's not overwhelming to walk around. Then we went back to our house, sat in the driveway and passed out candy. At 8 'o clock we closed up shop.
