We are lucky enough to live around the corner from a nature reserve. We've already been 3 times since living here. This morning we went fishing and boy were we as Davis would say, "lucky ducks". Everyone caught a fish. We actually caught 7! Hot dogs were the bait of choice. The kids were so excited.

With everything going on the past month, I have been horrible about taking pictures. Things are still in boxes and I literally haven't had a second to do anything. Baby boy has been wonderful. He has a great temperament. However he has put me through the ringer regarding his weight. When I took him in for his 4 day checkup, he had lost more weight than he should have. Therefore I had to bring him back 2 days later. Same thing the next time. I ended up going to his pediatrician 3 times in 1 week. Keep in mind that we hadn't moved yet, so I was traveling from Burleson with all 4 kids for a 5 minute visit. It was awful. I definitely didn't have time for that! At his 2 week checkup, he was doing better. When I went in for his 1 month visit, he had gained weight, but apparently not enough because he had gone down in his percentile. So as a precaution, I had to come back a week and a half later for ANOTHER weight check. Sheesh! At that visit, he had gained a pound since the last time, so we are good for now. I am supplementing with formula when I feel like he's still hungry after I feed him or if we're out and about and it's time for him to eat. So hopefully that helps. For the past month at night, he has slept in my bed and not the pack n play. It's just easier for me not having to get up to put his pacifier back in his mouth. And I feel like he is quicker to fall asleep and I need all the sleep I can get! I am making a conscience effort to put him in his pack n play. Last night he slept there until he woke up to feed. Then after that he was in bed with me:)
Here are his stats:
weight--8 lbs 1 oz--2.75%

I can't believe Elliot is done with 1st grade! Where has the time gone? Let me just comment on how resilient Elliot is. This is the 2nd year in a row she has changed schools at the very end of the year. Each time she has had a great attitude and has been eager to make new friends. Since there was only 10 days of school left in the year, I gave Elliot the option of having an early summer, but her response was, "Why would I do that?" So I signed her up at her new school, Willie Brown Elementary. Luckily she was placed in a class with a wonderful teacher and she was welcomed with open arms. The one thing she was concerned about was missing out on her awards day. I felt horrible she wouldn't be able to go since she would have received awards for the different achievements she's made. But she informed me that she would in fact get an award for Istation (a reading program). Luckily the new school did that program too, so it transferred over. So she got 1 award and couldn't have been prouder. She received a medal for it and hasn't taken it off. She wore it the rest of the school year.

So 2 weeks after having Bennett, we moved. It has been a whirlwind. Between packing, feeding every 2 hours, moving, and Lane still working, it has been crazy! But we're here in Mansfield and couldn't be happier. It only took us 8 moves to get here. I love being closer to family and friends and having a great ward to be a part of. I think it will be really good for everyone. Our house is the complete opposite of the Burleson house. Less house, less yard. It's a new build, so hopefully things won't be breaking all the time.

Here I am right before I change into my gown and get things going. We went into the hospital at midnight, started the pitocin a few hours later and waited. I was expecting things to progress a little quicker than they did, but it all went smoothly, so that's good. This is the first time in all of my pregnancies that I felt my water break. It was like a pop. And after that, it started to happen fast. At 9:04 am Bennett Marshall made his grand entrance. He weighed 6 lbs 7 oz. (the smallest of all my kids) and 19 inches long. We are all in love.
