Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving morning we went to visit Great Paw Paw. It was a nice little trip. The kids found the riding lawnmower, so they all got a ride:)

CHL

I finally took a concealed handgun license class. I'm so glad I did. I learned a lot. The class was very interesting. Loved the shooting part as well. I need to go to the gun range more often to get better.

32

I am now 32. Lane & I went to dinner at Eddie V's. It is my favorite place ever! They hooked us up and gave us free dessert. The one on the left is a new smores dessert. It had a graham cracker crust, chocolate mousse layer & marshmallow top. Then of course I got my usual molten chocolate dessert which did not disappoint.
We also had a girls dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.
Lane & I went horseback riding. It was super fun. Wish we could do things like this more often.

Halloween Time

Halloween Jammies. I couldn't pick just one!

Elliot's school parade. Here she is with her good friend Taylor. And they happened to compliment each other with their costumes: Elsa & Olaf.
Trick-or-Treating. We went to Amy's for a little party beforehand.
 Cowboy, Bat & Elsa

Love these two! Elsa & Anna.

Colorado

A while back we bought tickets for the family and my parents to Colorado. They were having a $20 each way sale that we couldn't pass up. The time finally came and we had such a great time. We rented a great cabin and the area we were in was so beautiful. The entire trip Lane and I were trying to find a way we could move to Breckenridge.

Lane and I were able to get away and go ziplining. It was awesome! We started at the top of the mountains and went on 6 different zip lines all the way to the bottom. The views were incredible. We went between mountains, over rivers and train tracks. I would definitely do it again.

Here's the cabin we stayed in. It was high up on a hill. It did have a nice flat piece of land in the back yard that had the hot tub and fire pit. Then it dropped off.

We did a couple of touristy things while we were there. We went to the top of Pike's Peak on their Cog Rail. It took about an hour to get up to the top. Lots of great views were seen on the way. There's a 30 degree temperature difference, so it was around 27 degrees!

After the Cog Rail we headed over to Cave of the Winds and took an underground tour.

Just driving around the area is so beautiful.

We stopped by the Red Rock Amphitheater.

Local botanical garden. More farm like than flower like.

We attempted to hike McCullough Gulch. Let's just say it was really hard with the kids. We made it maybe 3/4 of the way up before turning back. And I think we might have taken the wrong path. There was no marked trail! Very confusing.

We took a drive up Boreas Pass. The road took us up super high into the mountain on a narrow road.
