Perry is 3!

We had Perry's party a few days ago. It was a Christmas theme. I figured I might as well go with it since the house is already decorated. It turned out really cute. She has been so excited about her party. This is the first year she really gets it. She has been talking about it for over a month. It's been really cute.

This last picture is of her first dentist appointment. All teeth look good. You can tell she enjoyed herself there as well. She's doing really good. Her eating habits have improved, but not her sleeping habits. She still ends up in our room a lot of nights. We are working on potty training, although she doesn't seem to care. Nothing really motivates her. One day she'll get there...

Christmas 2015

Our Christmas season has been wonderful this year. We did lots of fun activities. One of them being going to see Frosty at Casa Manana. The kids have never seen a play before and did really well. We also hosted 2 get togethers. One with all of Rich's kids and family. It was great to see everyone. Brian and Christina even drove down from Maryland. We haven't seen them in about 6 years! The next get together was with Alan and Brenda, Jan and Rich, Aly and Chris, and Hunter and Kari. Another great time. On Christmas Eve we went to the graveyard to visit Jenai and then had lunch at El Rancho Grande. This tradition has been going about 15 years strong. Usually it's just me and my parents, but this year everyone ended up coming, which was nice. Christmas Eve night we were able to be at our house with just us. We made cookies for Santa, roasted marshmallows, ate smores, read The Night Before Christmas, the kids sang along as I played a few Christmas songs on the piano and we ended the night by watching Elf. It was really enjoyable. Christmas day, we went to my parent's house for breakfast and presents with the cousins. A few days after Christmas, we had a get together with my Aunts and Uncles. I only see them once a year, so it was nice to catch up.

Visiting Santa

We took the kids to see Santa today. He was a really good one. Very nice and asked questions. Elliot apparently wants a robot dog. Not sure when that came up, but it's not happening. I absolutely love this picture! I couldn't believe they all looked at the camera and smiled. In fact, it was like they knew exactly what to do. Elliot walked right in, turned around and smiled for 5 minutes straight. Now if only they could do that for me when I take pictures.

1st Annual Family Christmas PJ Photo

I always take a picture of the kids in their jammies in front of the Christmas tree, but they're never matching. This year we started the tradition of the whole family matching. I figured it would be a fun little present to open on December 1st, so we can get lots of wear out of them. Hopefully it won't be too hard to find a size for everyone in the same style. Target helps out, but our first choice were sold out and I ordered before Thanksgiving! So I'll definitely have to start looking early each year.

ICE

Every year we go to the Gaylord Ice exhibit. Before we head in, there's lots of photo ops with all their decorations. As you can see, Perry makes it tough to get a normal family shot.

It's a BOY!

We had a little gender reveal with the kids. I had a big present wrapped with helium balloons inside. Red= Girl, Green= Boy. Neither Lane nor I knew ahead of time so we were surprised as well. Looks like we'll be welcoming a baby boy into our family come May. And his name will be Bennett Marshall Blankenship.

Holiday Magic

The whole house is decorated! When it gets dark & I'm able to turn on all the lights, it's truly magic. And I'm WAY more excited by all the decorations than my kids are.
