The whole family got together & took a trip to Arkansas. We spent most of the time fishing.

Deep Sea Fishing

Regina & Mike came to visit us & the highlight of the trip was fishing. We went out on a party boat for 4 hours in hopes to come back with some serious fish. We all had a blast. Everyone except for maybe Regina. She was sick for most of the time. I heard she even threw up...yuk! Well Lane caught 2 small fish & Mike caught a shark...to bad the darn thing bit off his line & got away. I got ZERO fish. I don't know how that was even possible because everyone on the boat got tons of HUGE fish!

New City New Apartment

Houston we have a problem! We came down on Memorial Day & walked into what we thought was our apartment. However, it was nothing like the one we previously saw. Needless to say we were panicked. There was no one to get a hold of since it was a holiday. We had to stay in a hotel. Fortunately, early the next morning we got a new apartment which turned out to be a lot better than we were expecting. All was well in the end. We moved down here so Lane can start medical school at UT. I will be teaching 2nd grade in the Alief ISD.

Honeymoon

FINALLY! A month later, we were able to go on our honeymoon to Mexico:) Nothing is more relaxing than spending all your time on the beach! We had a blast. We went snorkeling-I got freaked out when the current took me too close to the reef. I would have died if it touched me! Lane bargained with a local & now we're the proud owners of a wooden mask for 1/2 price which now hangs on our wall. We were also a little too impulsive & ended up getting a timeshare. What were we thinking??? But my favorite part was sailing. We rented a sail boat & took it way out into the ocean where the water was SO blue I couldn't believe it! Ahhh to be back there again:)

Wedding Day

March 17th, 2007 was our lucky day (St. Patrick's Day). That morning we were married for time & all eternity in the Dallas Temple. All of our closest friends & family were there. Surprisingly, I cried through the entire ceremony. Later that night we had our open house which turned out wonderfully! After being embarrassed by the culprits who decided it would be funny to decorate our car as we left, we 1st stopped by a car wash & then headed to Fort Worth where we stayed at the Worthington Hotel for 2 nights. Our stay was full of surprises. Example 1- I broke out in hives all over. Example 2- I took some Benadryl, which knocked me out the entire time. Needless to say, poor Lane got a taste of what his life would now be like with me!
