Colorado Family Vacay

It seems our family just can't quit Colorado. We are addicted. This time we brought some friends along with us. Alec, Tamara and Sophia. We rented a giant 8 passenger van and made the long drive to Breckenridge. We spent 4 amazing days there, enjoyed the cooler weather and got our outdoor fix. Let me break it down into days for you...

Day 1- 12 hour overnight drive. We arrived bright and early, stopped to eat breakfast and then headed to Garden of the Gods. After that we headed through Georgetown and rode the train.

Day 2- We biked Vail Pass. I have been waiting to do this and it did not disappoint. It was so much fun. It's a 14 mile bike ride all down hill. And you're just riding along side rushing creeks and through beautiful mountains. I could do this every day. Originally we were going to have Elliot ride her own bike, but the bike available was too big for her. So she got stuck in a weehoo like the other 2. I'm glad it worked out that way because she for sure would have flown off a cliff.

Day 3- We stopped by this lake to let the kids throw rocks and take a few pictures. Not 2 minutes after we got there, did a security guard show up and give us a $50 ticket for trespassing. Boo. After we went on a short hike. Then we went to this kids zone thing where there were booths set up. The zoo was there. Face painting and crafts were done. After that we headed over to Keystone Stables for a little pony ride. Perry was too young for a real pony, so she got the next best thing. We ended the day with paddle boats.

Day 4- We went to the Breckenridge Fun Park. I only have a few pictures. We did the alpine slide. I rode with Elliot and she proved to be quite the dare devil, always wanting me to go faster. The kids also did the trampolines. They loved it.

Day 2- We went on a wagon ride dinner. They take you out a few miles in the country and serve you a full bbq dinner. There's games for the kids, a campfire and even a guitar player. Lane and I have done this before in the winter and it we couldn't wait to do it again. The kids loved it. It was one of my favorite things.
