Elliot's 1st Grade Graduation

I can't believe Elliot is done with 1st grade! Where has the time gone? Let me just comment on how resilient Elliot is. This is the 2nd year in a row she has changed schools at the very end of the year. Each time she has had a great attitude and has been eager to make new friends. Since there was only 10 days of school left in the year, I gave Elliot the option of having an early summer, but her response was, "Why would I do that?" So I signed her up at her new school, Willie Brown Elementary. Luckily she was placed in a class with a wonderful teacher and she was welcomed with open arms. The one thing she was concerned about was missing out on her awards day. I felt horrible she wouldn't be able to go since she would have received awards for the different achievements she's made. But she informed me that she would in fact get an award for Istation (a reading program). Luckily the new school did that program too, so it transferred over. So she got 1 award and couldn't have been prouder. She received a medal for it and hasn't taken it off. She wore it the rest of the school year.
