Thieves

I worked from home today & when I went downstairs to get my laptop out of the car this is what I found. I actually went to the passenger door first to get my folder of notes & when I looked up I noticed the other window. That's when I realized that the laptop was gone. Some bleepedy bleep scoundrels took it! And it happened during the day! They had to have had some balls to do that, especially since there was no car blocking people's view. When he swiped it, he had to see all of my American Heart Association stuff. I can't believe he didn't even feel bad!

Here's the damage from a distance. Our car has never been broken into, so I was pretty surprised. Well I guess I've learned my lesson. Yes I know it was stupid to leave it in the car, but it was hidden. And he's more stupid than I am because he didn't even take my wallet out of the console. That would have been a way better deal for him. Oh well, sucker!

I'm sorry. That's no fun. Our car was broken into in Jersey and it makes you feel so violated. I'm glad he didn't take your wallet though.

That's too bad. They don't ever feel bad about taking things. Remember when my ethics text book was stolen out of the car.

Jalei!! I can't believe that!! Although, yes, it was stupid of you to leave it in the car!! But still, what jerks!! Hopefully your job will just give you a new one and your insurance will be quick to fix that window. That sucks!!

Wow, that really stinks! Yeah, we try not to leave stuff in our car, but still I can't believe it happened during the day. That's so awful!

i've heard of tons of people getting their car broken into around here, it really sucks! sorry! we've got carseats so i guess people figure we have nothing of value, which is true, well other than the kids.

Oh Jalei! I am so sorry about the laptop and the car!! There is nothing worse than being violated. I'm just glad that you, Lane, and the baby were not in the car to be carjacked.

That stinks so bad! That has been happening like crazy in our neighborhood, every day a new car has its windows smashed in. I'm glad about the wallet though, that would've been really bad.

Oh and I love that you know the name of the dessert, every pregnant woman should :)

Dang, Gina! That really must have made you mad! I can't believe someone would break a window to get in your car. People are nuts. Hope you are able to get the window fixed fast. I haven't had my car broken into, but my house was robbed when I was a kid. It's no fun. Let me know if there is anything we can do to help you guys.

Sadly, I can believe it happened to you b/c it's already happened to us! Well, both our cars got broken into the week before we got married (albeit it was in Provo) and just a month ago we had our bikes stolen from our parking garage here in Houston. Very frustrating... Hopefully, you guys have comprehensive on your auto policy.
