He had to use the 1/8th" to finish the job. Here's what he now looks like. I have to say, I was cracking up because it's a very unfortunate thing to have happen, but I am sad about the loss of his hair! In fact I'm kind of upset with him for being careless, even though I know it's not really his fault. Good thing guys' hair grows back fast. So until that happens, just look at our picture in the top right of our blog. That's what Lane REALLY looks like!

Hairless Situation
So here's the horror story. Lane was cutting his hair when all of a sudden I hear a yell from the bathroom. As I walked in to where Lane was, I see this "hole" in his head. Where hair should've been, was white scalp. He said the guard of the clippers fell off in the middle of him cutting his hair. So, he had to do damage control. He had to use the shortest guard he could find (1/8th "). Then when he gets to the top part, he can't find the 1/4" or 3/8" to blend it. Here's what that part looked like.

My Dad's a Nut
Okay, so I'm watching American Idol with my parents & as soon as it's over, my dad starts voting for his favorite, Christie Lee Cook. The only reason he likes her is because she's cute & she's a country girl. Anyway, I have nothing against voting, because I've voted for David Archuletta on 2 separate occasions. But where it gets ridiculous is when I hear someone dialing 30 minutes later & find out he's STILL voting! My dad is funny, but sometimes a nut. He's just doing it this much because I told him it was time for her to go & he refuses to believe me. We shall see tomorrow!
My New Nephew
So I finally got to see my little nephew, Kelly. No he's not really related but he might as well be. He actually belongs to Regina, my best friend, but we're so close she's basically my sister, which makes him my nephew. Got it? Before you know it, he'll be calling me Aunt Leilei. He is absolutely adorable! He has little dimples & slept pretty much the whole time I was there, which was 6 hours! He only cried when he needed a change or was hungry. This is the best picture I got, hopefully I'll get more tomorrow & add them!
1 Year & Still Here
Yesterday, St. Patrick's Day, was our 1 year anniversary! The time sure has flown. We've learned a lot about each other & have grown together. We'll both admit that at times it seemed like the days drug on and on, but in the end all is well. We celebrated on Saturday by going to Galveston as you've seen below. Yesterday, Lane had class, so being the good wife that I am, I hid little notes around for him to find throughout the day. Inside each envelope was a piece of a letter I wrote to him along with a puzzle piece. Below, you can see the piece that he lost! It must have fallen out of his bag.
Oh well. When he got home we went to dinner & I convinced him to go see "The Other Boleyn Sister". Afterwards, we broke out the top of our wedding cake. I've been waiting to eat this forever! And although it looks pretty beat up here, it tasted almost as good as the day we cut it. It had a raspberry filling that everyone loved, especially me! Over the past year it has been foiled up in our tiny freezer, hence the dents.

Galveston
Lane & I spent the day in Galveston. The weather was perfect. We had planned to go on this paddleboat & rent a 2 seater bike, but when we got there, all we wanted to do was layout. So that's what we did. I can't wait til we have some extra time so we can go back down there.

Rodeo Time!
Lane & I went to the Rodeo to see Rascal Flatts. Let me just say it was awesome! We were there for a total of 6.5 hours. In that time we spent $30 on food that will take a week to work off. But it was all in the spirit of the rodeo, so it's ok. My favorite part aside from the concert was seeing all the livestock. I've never seen such clean cows in my life. They were so cute! And then there were all the other animals. Before the concert, we watched bull riding, barrel racing, calf wrestling, bucking broncos & the calf scramble...all of which were very entertaining. While I enjoyed the music, Lane started out the concert by plugging his ears because it was so loud. I think he's getting old. And he told me that if everyone took 1 picture during the concert, there would be 7 pictures per second taken. Seriously, you're doing math problems? Anyway, he assured me he enjoyed the concert. I have to say we definitely got our moneys worth.
