I finally had my doctor's appointment today & we found out we're having a girl! When I first found out I was pregnant, I was dead sure it would be a girl, right up til the last month. Then I started to get the feeling it was a boy. My friends even told me they had the same feeling...eerie. So I started to get all excited about a boy. I was so sure that I even registered for some boy things. So when my doctor looks at us & says she thinks it's a girl, we were totally taken by surprise. Lane's response was about the same as his response to me being pregnant...he really needs to work on that. I had to overcompensate for him so the doctor wouldn't think we were unloving parents! We're both really excited. It'll just take some time for us to really believe it. The baby was all rolled up like a roly poly & would not budge the entire time, so that made it a little more difficult to see. I have another appointment in 3 weeks to check the heart, lungs, etc so I figure I'll get more of a confirmation at that time.

Yay! A girl!!! I was sure Katie was going to be a boy the whole time I was pregnant up until the ultrasound and when the doctor said she was a girl, I was pretty sure he was wrong... but then I got used to the idea and now I'm secretly hoping for another girl. :) I get to find out what we're having on April 2nd. I can't wait! Like you said, hopefully the baby will cooperate for us and the doctor can give us a solid answer. :)

Yahoo! Susie is so excited to have a girl cousin! Little girls are so sweet and kind. I love how they are little "mothers" from the very beginning. We are so excited for you two. Maybe better luck next time Lane. You and Jim both want boys. I figure it is a godsend to have a girl first because than she can be a little helper with all the rest. Can't wait to see y'all.
