Lately I've been feeling less & less safe. Every time I'm out in public I'm constantly looking around & sizing up the people near me & planning my defense moves in case one tries to do something crazy. So this past Saturday, Lane & I went & bought a gun. We talked to my cousin Jason to get some tips & ended up buying a Smith & Wesson 40 caliber. For now we'll keep it at home. But hopefully sometime soon we can get our gun license so we can carry it on us. As of right now, I'm nervous around it even though it's not loaded or anything. That's why I'm excited to take it to the shooting range & get comfortable with it. Who knows, maybe eventually I'll buy one of those gun vests that I make fun of my dad for wearing.

Nice gun! Brian is going April 5th for his B-day to get his CHL license. They only do the training on Sunday. If Lane wants to get his too with Brian let me know. :)
We have a 45. Mark actually carries the same gun yall have. Good for you guys! Take your safety into your own hands. Being home alone with Kelly all day, it really and truly makes me feel safer to know I have the means to protect him and myself if I need to.
Nice gun! Jason said it's a very good gun, so good choice! We can go next Saturday after 3pm to the shooting range if you want after I'm done working a car show; I can watch the kids while y'all go with Jason or we can get someone to watch the kids. And, we can do dinner afterwards. Let me know what your schedule looks like.
Oh, were y'all able to get bullets? The Academy by us is out and they don't even know when they will be getting more....scary! Blame it on Obama!
Clint keeps begging me to get one of my own. We both want our conc. weapons lisence--before we're not allowed to get one!
I totally want a concealed weapons permit too and I've wanted one for years. I've shot hand guns and shot guns before, but I'd definitely need to take lessons or a class. But I have always wanted to know how to handle guns well and know how to defend myself. Seeing that you guys have one is a good reminder for me. I need to look into that too.
guns scare me, probably because i've never even touched on before in my life. shawn wants me to learn how to handle one so i don't kill my self if i ever come across one. probably a good idea.
yeah that would probably do a little better job protecting you guys than the aluminum baseball bat that sits next to our bed....haha.
Sweet! I might need to look into that. The pink shirt in my pics is from mimi maternity and I just got it a couple of weeks ago so it should still be there.
