L-O-S-E-R-S

If you look up the word "losers" in the dictionary, you would probably see our picture there. Every night for the past 2 weeks we have gone to bed at 9pm. Maybe even 8:30 on a couple of nights. So when did we hit 65? I have no idea! But as this past weekend came & went without us leaving the house, I told Lane that somethings gotta change. I realized my friends are afraid to ask us to do things because they think we'll say no. This is mostly my fault. I am a nazi for the schedule. It's just that I've experienced it first hand that if Elliot even wakes up for the day an hour later than usual, it throws her off. She doesn't nap during the day as well. I also like to do her night time routine starting at 7, so you can see how that interferes with a social life. But it all ends this weekend. I am making an effort to be more flexible with the schedule on the weekends. Maybe you will start to see more exciting posts from us.

On a separate note, we got a cold front this Friday & I have been LOVING the cooler weather. Here's a couple of pictures of miss E in her cozy clothes.

I FINALLY caught a smile on camera!

Doesn't she look like a little gnome?

Here we are in our fall getup.

Cute cute pics!! And as a routine nazi myself my advice is to get a babysitter or something, or just take the pack and play and put her down elsewhere but to keep her on her schedule. Sundays were always the worst for us because Kelly never slept at church. It takes 2-3 days to fix the damage that one off day does!! SOOO not worth it!

I am so excited to see her without the pacifier. I love the smile. The outfit is too cute. I love the hat.

LOVE that picture of her smiling! She light up the whole room! Girl, I'm still a nazi when it comes to schedules, but it works for us and our kids. If they are off their schedule we pay for it, but we just have to make sacrifies especially on the weekends. You will find the perfect balance, just try and see what works best for Elliot (and you too!).

love the smile! and don't worry, your schedule sounds a lot better than ours was, kallie had to be in bed fully asleep by 6 pm until she was 18 months. so don't feel bad if you feel like you are missing out. its the "joy" of being a new mom and it is NEVER worth it to mess up their perfect schedules.

Oh I completely understand "the schedule". Kids and parents are so much happier when they stick to a schedule. I think it's good to be a little flexible on the weekends though, otherwise you will go crazy!
