Sno Cone Search

Summer is coming to an end & I realized that I hadn't had a sno cone yet. I couldn't think of any place around that sells them. I guess it's more of a suburban thing. So I searched it out & found a place in an area of Houston called The Heights. It got really good reviews. So we headed that way this afternoon & it did not disappoint. It's called Mam's House of Ice. I got Tigers Blood & Lane got Raspberry. Both were delicious. I wish we had found this place sooner.

In front of the cute little stand.

E enjoying daddy's sno cone. We chose to sit in the car because it had AC & it was blazing hot outside!

Red stained lips.

I love the concept of the stand! The white picket fence is the cutest thing. E's red lips are funny. She looks plenty satisfied after a great treat!

They closed snow hut, but put another place in. The new place is fine, but they aren't open that much.

I think it is so funny you had to look up to find a snow shack. Those things are usually everywhere in the summer. It sounds good, though, especially in the hot weather.

Yummy! I have been craving sno cones lately too with this heat. We used to have a lot of stands out here in the 'burbs but they are all gone now. None in sight! Looks like the economy is effecting them too. We might have to drive out to the Heights soon to get one...Jason's grandma lives out there and I didn't know there was one there.

Oh, I meant to ask if you were throwing a party for E here in Houston? If not, then we need to get together soon and give her a gift for her birthday. Let me know what your next few weekends look like so we can plan something as it has been too long since we have got together...where does the time go??
