Batty Weekend

On Friday night Lane & I went to this "bat" bridge in town. Tons of them came out around 8:30pm. Aside from the smell, it was pretty cool. I tried to take a couple of pictures, but it was twilight, so you couldn't see anything.

Today we saw the new Batman. Lane liked the movie, but I didn't at all. This one was too violent for my taste. From the opening scene all the way to the end, people were getting shot right & left. I couldn't believe parents actually brought their kids to this! Like I said, Lane liked it. I guess it's a guy thing.

Bat bridge??? Is there one in Houston?? I know there is one in Austin, at the Congress bridge. You should check that out next time you are there...so cool. But really, if there is one in Houston, where is it??

The one in Houston is between Memorial Dr & Allen Parkway. The cross street is Waugh Dr. Just google "bat bridge Houston" & it will give you a map. You should go!

The girls have been enjoying learning about bats. I bet they would love that. As for the movie, Patrick went to see it by himself. He loved it too.

I went to a conference in Austin 2 weeks ago and we stayed at the Hyatt...right off Congress...right next to the stinky bat bridge! We walked back to the hotel one night, saw the bats, and my goodness....STIIIIIIINKKKKYYYYYY! haha. That's cool there's one in Houston, too!

Ok, bats are gross. And I am pretty sure they use bat poop in mascara or something. I have heard a lot of weird things about the movie. Michael will love it I am sure. Its a guy thing.

We've always wanted to go to the bat bridge. We saw the bats at Carlsbad Caverns when I was a kid. It's pretty cool! I also heard that the new Batman should have been rated R because it's so violent. We'll probably go see it anyway, but I doubt I'll like it as much as the first one.

And, Regina, EEW!

We both liked the new Batman movie. Ironically it was me making Justin go see it because I had heard so many good things about it. I agree about being surprised that kids were there. It's definitely too violent for kids.
