Night 2

Last night went SO much better! Once we got her down, she didn't wake up until around 5:15am! Granted, she didn't get to sleep until 10pm. I really want her bedtime to be around 8 or 8:30. After reading up on sleeping habits & printing out this table that says how much sleep they should get day & night, with the number of daytime naps included, I'm confident I can make this happen. It helps me when I can see things in writing.

On a side note, many of you asked how the fried butter tasted. Lane said it was delicious. It's really like a biscuit with butter inside. Definitely try it if you go to the fair.

I'm glad that she went down better. We put Eleanor down 9:00. It seems to be the perfect time.

Glad last night went better. I'm the same way with having everything in writing. For the first few months I wrote down all of the times that Emerson slept so I could add up the hours and also see if there were any trends. It really helped me get her on a schedule. We also struggled with the whole pacifier falling out and getting too hot being swaddled. I agree that someone needs to design something to keep that dang pacifier in their mouth. It gets so much easier once they can keep it in and find it when it falls out. Good luck tonight!

if you don't have Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child, it is a MUST READ! Especially if it helps you to see things in writing. It one of my two favorite parenting books.

I 2nd that! Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child is my FAVORITE book. We call it the bible around here as I have used it (and still do) with both kids. It helped me with
Landon SO much! I forgot to mention that in my previous comment.

I am jealous, 5:15! Our little guys wants to eat so much the longest stretch at night that he has slept is 3&1/2 hours. A couple of nights ago he woke up every 2 hours to eat. He is now about 14 lbs and could probably miss a couple of meals and still not lose any weight. Count yourself blessed to have a sleepy baby, neither of mine have been.

your description of the fried butter makes it sounds sort of appetizing!

Sounds like her second night was much better. Big improvement. Did she keep her binky in all night?

I'm laughing out loud because I just read about Night #1! Hilarious! Sleep is seriously your whole life until your baby is at least 6 months old. Good luck with the sleep training!
