Visit from Alys and Sean

Lane's sister, Alys, and her family were in town from California. I wish we were able to hang out with them more, but with Lane's crazy schedule and them having to divide their time up between families, we only got to see each other 4 times in 2 weeks.

The first night we had a little get together at our house with all the siblings and their families. It's rare that everyone is able to be in one place at the same time.
Davis (3 weeks), Asher (2 months), Ayla (7 months)
Lane's brother and sisters (minus Hunter)-Brody, Alys, Aly, Lane
Of course everyone wants to play with the same toy.
 Attempted picture with the grandparents.

We met up again with them on Halloween at the zoo.

Is this crocodile not creepy looking?
Elliot was brave and touched the snake.
 Harrison and Elliot

The zookeeper was feeding the gorilla and when he let him out of his cage, he ran straight towards Elliot and slammed into the glass in front of her. Lane said it was the funniest thing ever.

They came over again to hang out and I thought it would be a good idea to make slime. Even though it was the easiest recipe ever (1 cup corn starch, 1 cup water, craft paint), I still managed to mess it up. The consistency was never quite right. Oh well. The kids still had a blast.

Later that day we went to the airport park to watch the airplanes.

 Pretty cool, huh?

Elliot and Harrison really bonded. I'm so glad they had the chance to get to know each other a little better. Hopefully she'll remember him. We really enjoyed spending time with them. We wish they lived closer!

What fun!!! LOVE the picture of all of the grandkids with the grandparents. I was cracking up!! Finally someone has a "real" picture of what it is like to take pictures of multiple small kiddos. All of my friends have these perfect cute group pictures with every kid smiling and sitting still...not us!! That's a great picture to look back on and laugh about.

It's good they got to see each other. Speaking of out of town siblings, Justin will be here next week.

Seriously, I haven't seen Alan smile that big in a long time. Good job for bringing him so much joy! Also, you have a lot of guts to that slime activity indoors! Maybe you'll get the recipe right the next time. The kids didn't seem to mind.

I love the last one of Elliot hugging Harrison. That boy loves hugs. He saw his cousins yesterday and kept hugging them all. It is so cute.
