First Bath

We decided to give Elliot a bath tonight. As you can see, she wasn't having it.

Is this not the saddest face ever?

All snuggled up & worn out.

I love her sad little face. How cute! I always feel bad giving newborns a bath, I feel so bad for them being all cold and uncomfortable. But they sure do smell good afterward! :)

It Doesn't seem to take much to wear a baby out.

I LOVE her already! And yes that is the saddest face ever. Both of mine hated baths for the first month or so.

I love her sad face! In a few weeks, try giving her a bath at night. It will wear her out and she'll go to sleep faster and longer. It worked for Scarlett!!! Elliot is too adorable :o)

I think that is the most common face for first baths.

Yeah! I was hoping that you guys would update pictures. The other day I was thinking about you guys and all of the exciting "firsts" you get to do with your new little girl! it makes me a little sad how quickly time goes... and how big they get.... ENjoy her every min! She is so cute!

Oh my, that sad pouty face just makes my heart melt! When the kids do that it just pulls at my heart! Emerson does that when we firmly tell her "no"....so precious!

Both kids were not big fans of baths when they were newborns but loved it once they got older. Now, what worked for Emerson was using a little portable heater (like $20 at Walmart) and we would aim it in her direction when she was in the bath and when she got out. Then, she never cried when we were getting her dressed/undressed because she never got cold. She would just lay there still and so content and would sometimes even fall asleep. It made baths so much less stressful and more enjoyable.

I hope things are going well and Elliot is being a good baby for you. We'll see you sometime in the next few days. Get all the rest you can while your mom/dad is there. Take care!

Awwww, that is the saddest face ever! But she looks very peaceful in the last picture. And like Laura said, they do smell so good after baths.

Elliot has a pretty good pout! She will come to love her bath time! She is so cute. Please e-mail me a photo of her I can use on a birth announcement I'm sending to some of my family members. I wish Alan had his camera when he was there. Enjoy every precious moment with your adorable daughter.

awww, poor thing. thats exactly how jacobs first bath went. instead, we started just giving him sponge baths on his changer. we had him covered in a towel the whole time and just uncovered parts as we washed them. he started to LOVE bathtime b/c he wasn't getting cold. it may take a little bit for elliot to like them, but try that way and see if it helps any.

adorable, adorable!!! love her robe!
