Apparently today I dressed like a mom. My friend informed me of this & it really took me by surprise. What? I thought these jean capris were in style. They're fitted, have the worn look & even a torn spot. I realize this picture is unflattering, but TRUST me, the whole outfit works. We were at Costco during my revelation & sure enough, 2 out of 3 women had capris on. Of course all of them were over the age of 40. I will say that mine were more stylish than theirs, but I had no case. I had a good laugh about it & you think I would throw them out immediately. However, I'm keeping these babies. They are sooo comfy & it's HOT in Houston, so there!

You are a mom. So what's the big deal? Plenty of mom's would want to look like you. I sport a lot of knee length shorts and skirts in the summer. Don't know if they make me look mom-ish, but when it is hot I want to stay cool. Keep those capris and try to survive the heat!
I had a similar revelation the other day when I put on my jean capris. Something about them just felt out of style, true, they were 7s and seemed cute, but I couldn't get over how mommish I felt. I have moved onto shorts for the warm months. I Feel less mommish and more hip. It's hard finding a middle ground.
Wow! I had no idea either! I definitely look the part then as that's all I wear. Their so comfy though (especially with all I do with a 2 year old and 4 year old) and easy to pair with anything! Oh well, I am what I am!
At least you weren't in sweats. They make up my lay around the house wear. Besides you aren't allowed the short shorts anymore. If you were I'm sure some very stylish ones would be your mom wear.
I wear capris all the time, and have done so for years (even capri pants to work). So maybe I was ahead of my time and just meant to be a mom!
That is news to me, I didn't know capris were only for moms. Luckily for you, you look cute in everything.

good for you. i feel like that everyday and you dress WAY better than me. it gets harder the more kids you have.

Yeah, I used to think I'd never wear capris.. not because of the mom thing, I just hate how my legs look in them. I figured I'd just wear pants my whole life, thinking "how much cooler can a few inches of material off of your ankles really make you feel?" Um... it makes a HUGE difference! So yes, I wear capris. I like what Lindsay said... "own it!"
