Elliot's first word is...
duck.
She can say mama, dada & hi, but we don't count those as real words. I don't know, maybe we're to hard on her. But duck definitely counts. She came up to Lane today holding out a puzzle piece for him to take. As she handed it to him, she said duck. And sure enough, the puzzle piece was a duck. He didn't prompt her or anything. She's also said duck before, but has never connected it with meaning. We're so proud.

awww, cute! anytime we ask Jacob to say duck he says "quack quack QUACK!" haha :)
